Microgaming develops new Quick fire Software system
Gambling News - 31st October 2010
Microgaming has developed an exciting new software system that is set to change the traditional basic structure of online casinos and allow far more variety to casino customers.
Up until this point, since the beginning of online gambling, online casinos have signed with a single online gambling software provider who has licensed their games to the casino. In other words, the games that are offered by an online casino are all provided by the software provider that licenses the casino.
There is an exciting new pattern that is emerging that has the potential to open up a whole new level of opportunities for the online casino player. Online casinos continue to sign with a primary software provider, but they can now license popular games one at a time from other software providers. This means that while the bulk of the casino's games will be from the primary software provider, players will have access to a larger variety of games, including some of the most popular games from other providers, all in one casino.
Microgaming is following this trend with their Quick Fire system. This will allow non-Microgaming casinos to carry some of their most popular games. Currently, Quick Fire supports 150 of Microgaming's games. The Quick Fire system also includes Microgaming's poker, bingo, mobile casino and live dealer products. The mobile casino product is powered by Microgaming and Spin3 allowing Microgaming customers to play on the go.
Ashley Sandyford-Sykes, spokesperson for Quick Fire commented: "Quick Fire provides a fast and cost efficient way for operators to bring Microgaming's premium content to their players and we have been delighted with the market's response since our launch. We are confident that this product will prove tremendously successful with Poker, Bingo and Sportsbook operators looking to enhance their portfolio of casino side games."
